Studi Aperti. Art Festival in the green heart of the two lakes

Studi Aperti is a contemporary multidisciplinary festival that takes place in July in the old town centre of Ameno, a small village on the western hills of Lake Orta, now a centre for contemporary art.

The first stone was laid in 2005, when the artists who decided to live and work in Ameno decided to open their studios to the public: Giancarlo Bedoni, Enrica Borghi, Francesca Gagliardi, Angelo Molinari, Riccardo Sinigaglia and Fausta Squatriti.

From that moment on, like a chain reaction fuelled by patience and ability, more and more Italian and foreign artists, as well as national and international galleries, started participating in the event, opening up the horizons of the festival itself.

Today Studi Aperti devotes itself to different contemporary art forms, such as architecture, music, literature, video art, photography and new technologies.

Since 2005 Studi Aperti gave voice to hundreds of artists and dozens of public and private exhibition spaces.
