Academy

In order to favour a conscious approach to the permanent necessity of knowledge, Asilo Bianco organises "Academy", an educational project developed for a mixed audience and articulated in different initiatives: training courses, workshops and international exchanges.

Academy involves famed cultural centres as well as European educational centres; through these events the area receives art, ideas and histories back.

Academy wants to contribute to the understanding, reflection and dialogue on current social change, from the influence of African migratory culture in Italy, emerged during the "Atena Nera" project, to the APUM (Aluminia Pop Up Museum), which brought to Novara some of the most famous works of art of the MAMAC in Nice.

The co-operation with Northern European countries has been equally intense, from which various events have taken place: Anima(e), contemporary art exhibition dedicated to Swedish culture, Gelo Mediterraneo, literary review, and Humanscape, an international education project realised in collaboration with the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts.
